Coniston Water is a long, straight lake drawing walkers and sailors to its shores. Seen down its length from a wooded eastern bank, a small jetty and moored boat invite a quiet moment by the water. Across the lake, the familiar whaleback ridge of the Old Man of Coniston rises to anchor the horizon.

The poster captures this view in a classic Impressionist style, abandoning hard outlines for broken colour and dissolving light. Built from confident marks in soft lavenders, pinks, and pale yellows, the landscape shimmers. From across a room, these strokes resolve into a luminous scene standing above bold, traditional travel typography.

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.
