A narrow, rocky arête, Striding Edge is a rite of passage for walkers. To navigate its crest is to balance between earth and sky, following the rough path as it dips and rises to a sharp summit. Below to the left, dark water gathers in a deep mountain bowl before layered fells recede into the distance.

The design captures the high ridge through pure Impressionism, abandoning strict outlines for broken colour and dissolving light. From across a room, thick plein-air strokes of lilac, gold and deep indigo resolve into the vast scale of the landscape, anchored by classic travel-poster typography at the foot of the design.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this piece brings a rush of high-altitude memory to a hallway or stairwell. A natural wood frame beautifully warms the rich purple tones of the rock. Part of a wider series, it is perfect for collecting and hanging as a Lakeland set of three.

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
