Derwentwater is a wide, calm lake studded with small wooded islands. Walkers stand on the shore looking across the water to the steep western fells, or straight ahead towards the jaws of the valley closing in the distance.

This design views the landscape through the strict grid of the Bauhaus movement. The familiar fells are reduced to sharp intersecting triangles in primary blue and red, while the islands become bold, scattered circles. Framed by heavy blocks of yellow and black, it translates natural geology into striking geometric modernism that commands attention from across a room.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this vibrant piece makes a superb focal point for a clean, modern hallway or stairwell. A black solid wood frame is highly recommended to sharpen the strict grid and tie into the dark blocks within the print. It sits beautifully alone, or it can be grouped with other places from the same modernist series to build a striking collection.

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
