Derwentwater is a wide, calm lake studded with small wooded islands. Walkers gather on these shores to look across the water to the western fells, watching the landscape narrow into the jaws of a distant valley. It is a beloved view of flat water meeting steep rock.

This design treats the landscape in a playful mid-century style, reducing the topography to bold, flat shapes. From across the room, layers of teal water, rust-orange shores and dark angular fells create a striking graphic impact. Up close, tiny repeated dots and lines suggest autumn woodlands, echoing vintage printing traditions.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this vibrant print brings mid-century warmth to a hallway or stairwell. A natural wood frame beautifully complements the mustard and rust palette. As part of a wider series, it looks fantastic as a standalone statement or gathered into a set of three.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
