Grasmere is a classic Lakeland water: a small round lake held securely by the enclosing shoulders of Helm Crag and Silver How. Walkers and fell-baggers are naturally drawn to the reedy shallows along the near shore and the striking, solitary wooded island anchored at its centre.

This design reimagines the familiar valley through a Cubist lens. The fells are fractured into faceted planes of earthy gold, slate grey and deep green, seemingly viewed from several angles at once. From across a room, the sharp, geometric reflection of the island anchors the shattered water, framed boldly by the vertical thrust of the foreground reeds.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this piece brings structured depth to a study or hallway wall. A natural wood frame pulls out the warm ochres in the design beautifully. Belonging to a wider series, it is easily collected and hung alongside other fractured Lakeland views.

Sizes

30 × 40 cm — 12 × 16 in

45 × 60 cm — 18 × 24 in

50 × 70 cm — 20 × 28 in

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural wood.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

The fells and their reflection fractured into overlapping planes, seen from several angles at once. Ochre, umber, slate and chalk — the landscape analysed rather than described.
