Honister Pass is a formidable ascent. A narrow road climbs steeply through a rocky defile, forging a path between imposing crags. It is a landscape defined by industry and geology, where slate spoil and old quarry workings scar the fellside above, the valley falling away behind.

This print captures the pass using the stark language of Constructivism. The steep road and jagged rocks are reduced to hard diagonals in a graphic palette of deep red, solid black and cream. From across a room, the design operates as pure visual agitation, demanding attention through unyielding shapes and bold typography.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this assertive poster commands a stairwell or study. The stark geometry is best served by a black frame, which locks perfectly into the heavy dark diagonals of the design. Belonging to a wider series, it hangs brilliantly alone or collected as a bold set of three.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
