Stickle Tarn below the Langdale Pikes is a dramatic reward for walkers. A dark tarn sits in a high bowl, dominated by the sheer crag face of Pavey Ark rising directly behind it, while Harrison Stickle's distinct peak guards the left flank.

This design reduces the rugged landscape to striking, flat geometric shapes. Dark water and slate-grey crags contrast with warm ochre moor grass in the foreground. Playful, tiny repeated marks add subtle texture to the rock faces and foliage, capturing the scene with a charming mid-century simplicity beneath a pale sun.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this bold print brings Lakeland character to a hallway or study. A natural wood frame beautifully complements the warm golden foreground, while a black frame sharpens the mid-century geometric lines. Perfect as a standalone statement, it also belongs to a wider series for collecting as a set.

Sizes

30 × 40 cm — 12 × 16 in

45 × 60 cm — 18 × 24 in

50 × 70 cm — 20 × 28 in

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

The Mid-Century Wildlife series

Charley Harper simplicity: flat shapes, playful stylisation, tiny repeated marks

In the manner of Charley Harper: extreme simplification into flat geometric shapes, texture suggested by tiny repeated marks, and a great deal of confident empty ground. Teal, mustard, brick and sage.
