The ascent to Stickle Tarn below the Langdale Pikes rewards walkers with a dramatic, high bowl. Here, a dark tarn rests beneath the sheer crag face of Pavey Ark, with Harrison Stickle's peak rising sharply to the left and rough moor grass anchoring the foreground.

This mid-century Swiss Modernist design reduces the imposing landscape to a handful of bold geometric shapes. Slate grey blocks build the crag faces against an austere sky, while a charcoal ellipse forms the deep water. A vibrant band of russet red moor grass completes the composition, creating a highly graphic image that reads instantly from across a room.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this piece brings architectural order to a hallway or study wall. Its clean lines look exceptional in a black frame, which brilliantly grounds the charcoal tarn.
