Striding Edge is a classic route for walkers in the high fells. Seen from above, this narrow, rocky arête stretches out with a path along its crest, dipping and rising to a sharp summit. Far below, dark water fills a steep bowl, backed by receding layers of winter fell.

The design captures the ridge as a vintage winter railway poster. Reduced to bold shapes, the sheer drop is defined by slate shadows and brilliant snow. Ice-blue tones stretch outwards, warmed by a single band of cold pink. From across a room, the jagged spine creates a striking focal point.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, it commands attention above a study desk or on a stairwell landing. A black wood frame sharpens the deep rock shadows perfectly. Part of a wider series of travel posters, it stands alone to mark a famous crossing or groups effortlessly into a Lakeland gallery wall.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
