Tarn Hows is a beloved destination, famous for the sweeping path that traces its shoreline. This small, island-studded tarn is ringed by dark conifers and larch, framing spectacular views toward the pale blue fells rising beyond the tree line.

The design reinterprets the landscape through a layered papercut style, reducing the scene to six flat planes receding into mist. From across a room, deep forest-green silhouettes stand in sharp relief against the soft blues of the water, with each edge casting a subtle shadow to create graphic depth.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this print brings strong lines to a hallway or stairwell. A black frame perfectly anchors the deep tones of the foreground trees, while natural wood suits neutral spaces. Part of a wider collection, it hangs beautifully alone or grouped as a set of three.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Delivery and returns

Every poster is printed and framed to order, at the production facility closest to your delivery address.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
