Tarn Hows is a beloved beauty spot where a curving path traces the shore of a small, island-studded tarn. Walkers come for the striking reflections of dark conifers and golden larch, perfectly framed by the towering blue fells rising beyond.

This design captures the scene in the bold tradition of vintage railway posters. Vivid autumnal golds and fiery oranges contrast sharply against the deep green pines and brilliant blue water, with huge, stylised clouds and definitive regional typography anchoring the view.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Every poster is printed and framed to order, at the production facility closest to your delivery address.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
