Looking over Ullswater from Gowbarrow Fell offers a defining Lakeland view. A rocky crag anchors the foreground, while the water disappears in a dogleg between overlapping fells toward the Helvellyn range. On the right, a wooded promontory completes a scene known by heart to countless walkers.

This design reimagines the landscape through the stark palette of precise ink hatching and impossible geometry. Mimicking classic intaglio printing, the artwork transitions seamlessly from solid rock and reflected trees into a mesmerising tessellation. From across a room, bold monochrome linework reads as a topographic engraving before dissolving into birds taking flight from the water.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
