Looking down the length of Ullswater, a rocky crag commands the foreground while the water doglegs between overlapping fells. A wooded promontory reaches into the lake on the right, drawing the eye along the valley. It is a defining vantage point for walkers tracing the shoreline.

This Muted Modern treatment strips the landscape back to its essential geometry, reducing complex topography to sweeping planes. Rendered in a chalky minimalist palette of sand, oat and sage, the design creates a striking focal point that reads clearly from across a room, updating the vintage railway poster tradition.

Delivered framed and ready to hang, this print brings a contemporary presence to a hallway or bedroom. A natural wood frame beautifully warms the sandy tones, while white enhances the artwork's modern minimalism. As part of a wider series, it is perfect for grouping with other destinations to build a collection.

Sizes

30 × 40 cm — 12 × 16 in

45 × 60 cm — 18 × 24 in

50 × 70 cm — 20 × 28 in

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural wood.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Every poster is printed and framed to order, at the production facility closest to your delivery address.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.

The Muted Modern series

Chalky modern minimalism in sand, oat and sage — made to live with

Quiet, chalky and low-contrast, in the sand, oat, clay and sage a modern interior is already painted in. The place is still exactly itself — just held softly enough to live above a sofa for twenty years.
