Windermere is the great curving water that draws visitors to the heart of the region. Walkers trace its wooded shores, looking out over small mid-water islands to watch a launch crossing the surface towards serrated peaks on the far horizon.

The design reimagines the lake through the aesthetic of layered papercut art. Six distinct planes step back into the mist, shifting from deep foreground greens to the pale blues of the distant fells. From across a room, crisp edges and soft drop-shadows give the landscape a striking, tactile depth.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, it creates an immediate focal point above a sitting room sofa or a stairwell landing. The rich greens look particularly vivid in a natural wood frame, which beautifully warms the cooler tones. Designed as part of a series, it pairs perfectly with other posters to build a tailored gallery wall.

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Every poster is printed and framed to order, at the production facility closest to your delivery address.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
