Windermere is the great draw of the southern fells, a broad lake curving away between densely wooded shores. Visitors take to the water on a passing launch, navigating the scatter of small islands mid-water towards a serrated mountain horizon.

Drawing on the 1930s railway poster tradition, this design reduces the vast landscape to bold, flat shapes. Deep blue water and sky contrast brilliantly with warm foreground heather and layered woodland greens. From across a room, the crisp white wake of the launch and that single, perfect line of typography command attention.

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.
