Windermere is the great curving spine of the southern lakes, its broad water drawing the eye towards the Langdale Pikes serrated on the far horizon. It is a landscape best known from the deck of a launch crossing mid-water, navigating between small wooded islands and sweeping shores.

This Swiss Modernist treatment reduces the vast view to a striking flat geometry. Bold greyscale planes silhouette the wooded shores and distant fell profiles against the pale water. From across a room, the eye catches one vivid detail: the launch, marked by a single red rule that anchors the crisp typography.

Ideal for a hallway or above a desk, the poster arrives framed and ready to hang. A black frame sharply defines the dark foreground, while a white moulding effortlessly extends the pale sky. Designed as part of a wider series, it is perfect for grouping alongside other mid-century Lakeland places.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.
