Blencathra is defined by its broad saddleback summit rising steeply above the valley pastures. In the meadow below, the ancient standing stones of Castlerigg circle form a commanding foreground, separated from the fell by a sharp, dark line of trees.

This design brings the strict discipline of mid-century Swiss Modernism to the landscape. The fell and stones are reduced to flat, unshaded geometry in a palette of slate grey and deep black. The stark composition is interrupted only by a single, bold red block against the pale pasture. Read from across a room, the clean typography and sheer blocks of colour deliver an instant, graphic impact.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this bold piece commands attention in a bright hallway or a minimalist study. A black wood frame echoes the heavy weight of the stones, while a white frame sharpens the crisp modernist aesthetic. Designed as part of a wider collection, it groups perfectly with others in the series to form a striking set.

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
