Derwentwater is a wide, calm lake studded with small, wooded islands. Walkers stand on its shores to look out towards the steep western fells, and gaze south to where the jaws of the valley close in the distance.

This design treats the lake through the uncompromising lens of Constructivism, turning the travel poster into a piece of visual agitation. The landscape is reduced to hard diagonals and bold blocks of pure red, black, and vintage cream. The wooded islands become sharp, floating wedges, while the fells jut into the sky with graphic force. From across a room, it reads as a striking, architectural statement anchored by heavy typography.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this bold piece commands attention in a modern study, a minimalist stairwell, or above a hallway console. A black solid wood frame reinforces its heavy, industrial lines perfectly. Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Delivery and returns

Every poster is printed and framed to order, at the production facility closest to your delivery address.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
