Derwentwater is a wide, calm lake studded with small wooded islands. Walkers stand on its shores to gaze across the water, taking in the steep western fells and the dramatic jaws of the valley closing in the distance.

This design captures the view through pure minimalism. One continuous black line traces the shoreline, loops around the islands, and rises to form the distant peaks. A single soft green block of colour grounds the mountains. From across a room, this unbroken line creates a striking, modern take on the classic travel poster.

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Every poster is printed and framed to order, at the production facility closest to your delivery address.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
