Derwentwater is a wide, calm lake dotted with small, wooded islands. Walkers stand on these snowy shores to look across the water toward the western fells, tracing the landscape as the jaws of the valley close in the distance.

The design captures the scene in the classic railway poster tradition, reducing the terrain to bold, flat shapes under a hard frost. Read from across a room, the contrast of stark white snow against dark slate and ice-blue water is striking, softened only by a single streak of cold pink in the winter clouds.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this piece commands attention on a stairwell or study wall. Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
