A wide, calm expanse stretching south towards the jaws of a distant valley. Derwentwater is known for its densely wooded islands and the dramatic western fells rising from the opposite shore. It is a landscape of grand scale, where the lakeshore path offers sweeping views before the steep climbing begins.

This design channels the saturated tradition of mid-century railway posters. The view is reduced to striking flat shapes: brilliant blue water, vivid green fellsides, and crisp clouds stacked in a bright sky. Framed by rich red foreground bracken, the composition reads perfectly from across a room.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this vibrant print brings immediate colour to a stairwell or sitting room. The vivid blues and greens look sharp in a black frame, which neatly grounds the bright palette. Part of a wider travel series, it is easily collected and hung as a set of three.

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
