A wide, calm lake dotted with small wooded islands, Derwentwater offers some of the most celebrated views in the region. Walkers look across the water to Catbells and the western fells, or down its length to where the jaws of Borrowdale close in the distance.

The poster captures the scene through an Impressionist lens, abandoning strict outlines for broken colour and dissolving light. Built from the textured strokes of a plein-air oil painting, the landscape softens into luminous pinks, golds, and hazy blues. From across a room, the islands and fells resolve into a shimmering expanse of water above bold, classic typography.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this piece brings a wash of gentle colour to a relaxing bedroom or stairwell. Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
