Derwentwater is a wide, calm lake studded with small wooded islands. From the shore, walkers look across the water to Catbells and the western fells, watching the land rise steeply where the jaws of Borrowdale close in the distance.

This vivid design treats the landscape like a classic railway poster, reducing the fells to bold, sweeping shapes and saturated colour. Deep blues define the lake, while autumnal golds and rich greens block out the shoreline path. From across a room, crisp white clouds pop against a bright sky, anchored by clean, vintage typography.

Arriving ready to hang, this framed print brings vibrant life to a stairwell or sitting room. A natural wood frame perfectly echoes the warm moorland tones, while black offers a sharp, modern border. Part of a wider regional collection, it works brilliantly alone or grouped as a set of three.

Sizes

30 × 40 cm — 12 × 16 in

45 × 60 cm — 18 × 24 in

50 × 70 cm — 20 × 28 in

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural wood.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Every poster is printed and framed to order, at the production facility closest to your delivery address.
