Grasmere is a small round lake defined by the wooded island at its centre. Reed beds line the near shore, while the enclosing shoulders of Helm Crag and Silver How frame the water, creating an intimate valley where walkers pause to take in the landscape.

This design reimagines the valley through impossible geometry. Rendered in meticulous monochrome ink hatching, the fells are transformed by stepped pathways that fold back on themselves. From the water, a striking tessellation rises, morphing fish into birds that scatter above the island. From across a room, it reads as a sharp graphic puzzle.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this piece commands attention in a study or hallway. A black frame perfectly anchors the intense monochrome linework, adding depth to the illusion. As part of a wider series, it looks magnificent alone or grouped as a Lakeland triptych.

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
