Honister Pass forces a narrow road to climb steeply through a tight, rocky defile. It is a landscape of raw elevation, where slate spoil and old quarry workings scar the fellside above the valley falling away behind. Walkers tackle this route for its sheer scale.

The design reimagines this terrain through a playful mid-century lens, reducing the pass to flat, sweeping shapes in slate greys and warm ochres. Sharp stylisation defines the piece, from the winding road to tiny, repeated marks texturing the scree. A graphic mountain bird anchors the composition, creating instant visual impact from across the room.

Ideal for a stairwell or study, the poster arrives framed and ready to hang. A black frame sharply highlights the dark tones, while a natural wood moulding complements the earthy palette. Belonging to a wider mid-century series, it works beautifully alone or grouped as a Lakeland set.

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.
