To walk Striding Edge is to take on Lakeland's most celebrated scramble. The narrow rocky arête cuts a jagged line, its path dipping before rising to a sharp summit. Below, a dark mountain tarn rests in a deep bowl while layered fells fade into the distance.

The design captures this dizzying drop in an Impressionist style. Free from harsh outlines, the landscape is built from broken colour and the textured marks of plein-air oil painting. From across a room, dissolving light hits the crest in strokes of gold and violet, anchored by bold, traditional typography.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this piece brings the memory of a great ascent to your hallway or study. A natural wood frame beautifully echoes the sunlit ridge, while a black frame enhances the dramatic mountain shadows. Part of a wider collection, it works perfectly alone or grouped to map your favourite routes.

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Every poster is printed and framed to order, at the production facility closest to your delivery address.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
