Striding Edge is a thrilling traverse that calls to every keen walker. Seen from above, this narrow rocky arête carries a distinct path along its crest, dipping and rising sharply towards the summit. Below, a dark tarn rests in the deep mountain bowl, set against receding, layered fells.

The landscape is reimagined here in the Japanese woodblock style. From across a room, the eye follows the sweeping arête, built from bold blocks of slate and moss green within a quiet key line. Above, a soft gradient sky of blush and pale blue perfectly balances the heavy, jagged rock below.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this piece brings a sense of elevation to a stairwell or a quiet study. A black frame grounds the design, providing a sharp contrast that makes the pastel sky sing. As part of a wider series, it sits beautifully alongside other classic travel posters to build a Lakeland gallery.

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
