Tarn Hows is a celebrated landscape, a small, island-studded tarn ringed by dark conifers. Walkers trace the pale path curving along its shore, admiring the reflection of the woods and the steep blue fells rising beyond.

This design reimagines the waters with the bold intensity of early constructivist art. The shoreline is sliced by hard diagonals of deep red, pitch black, and stark cream, framing the jagged blue peaks. From across a room, it reads as a powerful piece of visual agitation, reducing the famous view to striking geometric shapes and block colour.

A commanding presence for a modern stairwell or a kitchen wall, this piece arrives framed and ready to hang. A black frame perfectly anchors the dark typography and heavy geometry of the design. Belonging to a wider series, it stands alone brilliantly or pairs with other bold treatments to build a striking gallery collection.

Sizes

30 × 40 cm — 12 × 16 in

45 × 60 cm — 18 × 24 in

50 × 70 cm — 20 × 28 in

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.
