A row of tall Scots pines stands guard on the near shore at Buttermere, their dark forms perfectly mirrored in the still water. It is a classic vantage point, looking across the lake to where the craggy ridge of Haystacks rises steeply, bordered by a bare fellside falling to the right-hand shore.

In the bold tradition of vintage railway art, this landscape is reduced to sweeping, vivid shapes. The water becomes a solid block of deep blue holding the sharp reflections of the pines. Earthy rusts, ochres and deep greens build the fells, striking clearly across a sitting room against a brilliant azure sky.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this bright print brings Lakeland colour to a hallway or study. A natural wood frame complements the earthy tones beautifully. Part of a wider regional series, it works as a standalone statement or gathered with others as a set of three.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
