A firm favourite for an afternoon walk, Tarn Hows is a small island-studded tarn ringed by dark conifers and larch. Visitors follow the path curving gently along its shore, pausing to admire the distant fells rising blue beyond the trees.

This poster captures the scenery in a classic Art Nouveau style. From across a room, the eye is drawn to elegant whiplash curves in the water and an intricate ornamental border. The landscape is flattened into flowing shapes using a rich, decorative palette of sage, soft rose and muted gold, finished with bold typography in the grand railway tradition.

Striking in a hallway or stairwell, this piece arrives framed and ready to hang. A Natural wood frame beautifully picks up the design's muted gold tones, while a Black moulding provides a sharp, grounding edge to the softer colours. Part of a wider series, it is easily collected to form a Lakeland set.

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.
