Looking from the rocky crags of Gowbarrow Fell, this view down Ullswater is a definitive Lakeland panorama. The lake doglegs between overlapping fells toward the distant Helvellyn range, while a wooded promontory reaches into the water on the right.

This railway-style poster reduces the landscape into bold shapes and flat inks. Deep purples and steely blues define the water and distant peaks, contrasting with the warm ochres of the foreground crag. Designed to be read from across a room, its strong lines capture the grand scale of vintage travel advertising.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.
