Looking down the length of Ullswater from the high rocky crags, the landscape unfolds in a sweeping zigzag. Walkers stand here to trace the water as it doglegs between steep, overlapping fells, looking past wooded promontories that reach out into the deep lake.

This Swiss Modernist design reduces the topography into bold, interlocking geometry. From across a room, the composition resolves into heavy black foreground crags, flat-grey fells, and the stark white sweep of the water. A sharp flash of red draws the eye deep into the valley, capturing the landscape in crisp shapes.

A powerful statement piece for a hallway or modern stairwell, this print commands attention. It arrives framed and ready to hang, with the black wood moulding perfectly anchoring the dark crags at the base of the design. Part of a wider series, it looks exceptional hung alone or collected as a set of three.

Sizes

30 × 40 cm — 12 × 16 in

45 × 60 cm — 18 × 24 in

50 × 70 cm — 20 × 28 in

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural wood.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

The Swiss Modernist series

Mid-century Swiss reduction — a fell in five shapes and a single red rule

The severest treatment we make. A fell reduced to five flat shapes, acres of quiet ground and a single accent, in the manner of the Swiss tourism posters of the 1960s. It suits a modern room and a plain wall.
