Looking down the length of Ullswater from a rocky crag, the view captures the famous dogleg of the water cutting between overlapping fells. It is a classic vantage point for walkers, framing a wooded promontory and drawing the eye toward distant high peaks.

The artwork reimagines the valley as a 1930s railway poster, reducing the landscape to bold, flat shapes. Sunlit ochre rocks, deep blue water, and layered purple fells are rendered in solid blocks of colour beneath towering clouds. From across a room, this stark, stylized contrast reads with immediate impact, anchored by crisp vintage typography at the foot of the design.

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.
