The view from Ashness Bridge is one of the most celebrated in the region. A traditional stone packhorse bridge spans a tumbling rocky beck, anchoring a sweeping vista. Beyond it, the fellside plunges to the water far below, with a formidable mountain massif rising against the skyline.

This framed travel poster treats the famous viewpoint to an expressive Impressionist handling. Foregoing rigid outlines, the scene is built entirely from broken colour and dissolving light, mimicking a plein-air oil painting. Vibrant heather and shifting water resolve beautifully from across a room, grounded by clean, classic typography.

Ideal for a welcoming hallway or a quiet study, this piece brings the atmosphere of the high fells indoors. It arrives framed and ready to hang. A natural wood frame perfectly complements the earthy tones of the stonework, while white highlights the pastel sky. Collect a set of three to map your favourite routes.

Sizes

30 × 40 cm — 12 × 16 in

45 × 60 cm — 18 × 24 in

50 × 70 cm — 20 × 28 in

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural wood.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Every poster is printed and framed to order, at the production facility closest to your delivery address.

The Impressionist series

Broken colour and dissolving light — plein-air oil, no outlines anywhere

Painted as plein-air oil: broken colour in short loaded strokes, edges dissolved by light, the water a field of dabbed complementaries. The softest thing we make.
