A favourite halt for walkers rounding the lake's edge, Buttermere is renowned for its perfect reflections. Tall Scots pines stand along the near shore, mirrored precisely in the still water below. Behind them, a craggy ridge rises steeply into the skyline, balanced by a bare fellside falling abruptly to the shore on the right.

Reimagined in the sweeping Art Nouveau style, whiplash curves and floral motifs form an ornamental border around the view. Rendered in a vintage palette of sage green, dusty rose and muted gold, the bold typography and simplified forms evoke classic railway posters. From across a room, the rhythmic, stylised lines of the reflected pines draw the eye instantly.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.
