A walk around Buttermere is a classic Lake District day out. Here, a distinctive row of tall Scots pines stands perfectly mirrored in the still water of the near shore. Rising steeply behind is the craggy ridge, flanked by a bare fellside plunging to the water's edge.

The poster reimagines this shoreline through a playful mid-century style, reducing the landscape to flat shapes and striking reflections. From across a room, the geometric symmetry of the pines commands attention. Closer up, tiny repeated marks provide charming texture to the steep fellside.

Ready to hang, this framed print is an ideal focal point for a stairwell or study. A natural wood frame beautifully echoes the earthy greens and ochres of the design. As part of a wider series of travel posters, it is easily collected or hung as a set of three.

Sizes

30 × 40 cm — 12 × 16 in

45 × 60 cm — 18 × 24 in

50 × 70 cm — 20 × 28 in

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

The Mid-Century Wildlife series

Charley Harper simplicity: flat shapes, playful stylisation, tiny repeated marks

In the manner of Charley Harper: extreme simplification into flat geometric shapes, texture suggested by tiny repeated marks, and a great deal of confident empty ground. Teal, mustard, brick and sage.
