The shoreline at Buttermere offers a defining Lakeland view, drawing walkers to pause at its tranquil edge. A distinctive row of tall Scots pines stands on the near shore, mirrored perfectly in the still water. Behind them, a craggy ridge rises steeply, while a bare fellside plunges to the water on the right.

The design translates this viewpoint into the bold, flat colours of mid-century railway posters. Saturated fellsides in vibrant ochre and green contrast sharply with a brilliant blue sky and heavy, stylized white clouds. From across a room, the composition forms striking geometric shapes, with the dark vertical pines anchoring the sweeping diagonals of the valley behind.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this print brings immediate focus to a stairwell or study wall. A black frame sharply defines the vintage typography, while a natural wood moulding echoes the warm tones of the fellsides. It belongs to a wider series of Lakeland posters, designed to be collected and hung as a striking set of three.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
