Coniston Water is a long, straight lake deeply loved by walkers. Seen down its length from a wooded eastern shore, the eye is drawn past a quiet jetty and a moored boat to the great whaleback ridge rising steeply along the far side.

The design captures the landscape in the bold tradition of vintage railway posters, gripped by a hard frost. The valley is reduced to striking geometric shapes of deep snow and sharp pines. From across a room, it reads as a stark winter palette of slate and ice blue, struck by one flash of cold pink.

A sharp statement piece for a hallway or above a study desk. It arrives framed and ready to hang. A white frame beautifully highlights the snowcapped peak, while black wood grounds the darker foreground tones. Part of a wider collection, it can be hung alone or as a set.

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
