Great Gable rises as a massive pyramid peak of grey crags, a monumental objective for any fell-bagger. Wide fans of scree cascade down steep slopes to the valley floor, where thin winding paths meet at the valley head below to guide walkers toward the summit.

This mid-century wildlife treatment reduces the imposing fell to bold, faceted geometric shapes. From across a room, it reads as a striking composition of charcoal, earthy ochre, rust orange, and deep teal. Up close, a playful stylisation emerges through tiny, repeated triangular marks texturing the scree slopes and sharp, graphic pine trees framing the valley trails.

A strong piece that commands attention above a sitting room sideboard or on a dedicated study wall, it arrives framed and ready to hang. It looks exceptionally sharp in a black wood frame that anchors the dark shadows of the crags. As part of a stylised series, it is perfect for collecting as a set to furnish a Lakeland hallway.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.
