Great Gable is a massive pyramid peak of grey crags and an unmistakable silhouette. Walkers know this mountain intimately, tracing the wide fans of scree cascading down its steep slopes to the valley floor. It is a demanding summit for fell-baggers, rising high above the thin, winding paths that meet at the valley head below.

The fell is captured here with playful mid-century simplicity, reducing its imposing bulk to overlapping geometric triangles. From across a room, the peak reads as a striking bold mosaic of slate and charcoal. Look closer to see the scree stylised with tiny, repeated marks, while the winding paths form stitched lines threading through flat planes of sage green.

Ideal for a hallway or study wall, this print arrives framed and ready to hang. A natural wood frame perfectly warms the mustard tones in the foreground, while a black frame sharply defines those geometric greys. Belonging to a wider series, it can easily be hung as part of a set to map out your own Lakeland history.

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.
