Rydal Water is a shallow lake best seen from the terrace path above. Walkers pause by the drystone wall where bare oak and birch frame the view, looking out to the fell dropping to the far shore and the steep scar rising sharply above.

The vintage railway style reduces the landscape to bold shapes and striking winter light. Hard frost settles in flat blocks of snow, slate grey and ice blue, broken by a single reflection of cold pink on the water. From across a room, the stark contrast of the dark foreground and illuminated fells instantly draws the eye.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this print anchors a hallway or study wall. A black wood frame mirrors the dark, bare branches of the winter trees, while a white frame pulls out the crisp snow. Printed edge-to-edge without a mount, it belongs to a wider series of Lakeland posters, perfect for hanging alone or collecting as a set.

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.
