Tarn Hows is loved for the wide, accessible path that curves gently along its shore. It is a small, island-studded tarn ringed by dark conifers and larch, offering walkers striking, elevated views of the high fells rising blue beyond.

Rendered in our chalky, modern minimalist style, the scene is reduced to flat, geometric shapes reminiscent of mid-century railway posters. From across a room, the eye is drawn to the pale oat of the track, the sage greens of the island pines, and the soft sand tones of the distant ridges. Crisp, classic typography anchors the base.

Arriving fully framed and ready to hang, this print brings a calm, contemporary feel to a sitting room alcove or a holiday-cottage bedroom. A Natural wood frame perfectly complements the organic, earthy palette. Designed to sit beautifully on its own, it also belongs to a wider series, allowing you to collect and hang a set of three along a hallway.

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Delivery and returns

Every poster is printed and framed to order, at the production facility closest to your delivery address.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
