Windermere is a broad lake curving away between wooded shores, long drawing visitors to its waters. The view leads the eye past small mid-water islands and a crossing launch toward a serrated fell skyline on the far horizon.

This Cubist treatment fractures the landscape into faceted planes, capturing the panorama from several angles at once. The earthy palette uses autumnal ochres, cool greys, and deep greens, reducing the scenery to bold, interlocking shapes. From across a room, the bright wake of the launch cuts sharply through the fragmented water, anchored by the bold typography of the railway-poster tradition.

A strong focal point for a sitting room or study, this print arrives framed and ready to hang. A black frame sharply defines the poster's geometric lines, while a natural wood moulding perfectly highlights its earthy tones. It belongs to a wider series, making it ideal for building a set along a stairwell.

Sizes

30 × 40 cm — 12 × 16 in

45 × 60 cm — 18 × 24 in

50 × 70 cm — 20 × 28 in

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural wood.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

The fells and their reflection fractured into overlapping planes, seen from several angles at once. Ochre, umber, slate and chalk — the landscape analysed rather than described.
