Windermere is the grand introduction to the fells, a broad expanse of water curving away between wooded shores. Visitors track the steady progress of a launch crossing between small islands, while a serrated ridgeline of pikes dominates the far horizon.

This familiar view is reimagined through meticulous ink hatching and impossible geometry. From across a room, labyrinthine blockwork shores defy perspective, leading to a hypnotic tessellation rising from the water where interlocking fish seamlessly morph into birds. It is a bold, monochrome study of shadow and interlocking form.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this intricate piece makes a compelling focal point in a study or stairwell. A black frame perfectly anchors the dark, cross-hatched lines of the illustration. As part of a wider series, it allows you to collect and group multiple Lakeland views with the same architectural treatment.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
