Looking down the long expanse of Coniston Water from a wooded eastern shore offers a defining Lakeland view. Walkers are drawn to this spot, watching the water stretch towards the whaleback ridge of the Old Man of Coniston rising along the far side.

This railway-style poster captures the landscape using the bold shapes and flat inks of a 1930s screen print. From across a room, it reads instantly: layered bands of slate-grey water, deep purple fells, and framing foliage in ochre and sage. A small jetty and moored boat anchor the foreground against bright, simplified reflections.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, it makes a striking focal point above a study desk or hallway console. A natural wood frame beautifully echoes the ferns and wooden jetty, while a black frame makes the cool blues pop. It belongs to a wider series, perfect for collecting as a set of three.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.
