Grasmere is a classic Lakeland destination, its small, round waters enclosed by the steep shoulders of the surrounding fells. Walkers are drawn to this valley floor, looking out over the near-shore reed beds towards the single wooded island that anchors the centre of the lake.

The design captures the valley in the bold aesthetic of vintage railway posters. Complex fellsides are reduced to striking planes of flat, saturated colour—warm ochre, rust, and forest green—sweeping down to deep blue water. Sharp, stylised white clouds complete a graphic image that reads instantly from across a room.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this vibrant piece brings a splash of Lakeland character to a hallway or kitchen wall. A natural wood frame beautifully echoes the autumnal tones of the island, while a crisp white frame highlights the striking clouds. Belonging to a wider series, it hangs perfectly alone or gathered in a set of three.

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Every poster is printed and framed to order, at the production facility closest to your delivery address.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
