Honister Pass is a dramatic, narrow road climbing steeply through a rocky defile between imposing crags. Travellers brave the ascent to witness this stark landscape, where slate spoil and old quarry workings scar the fellside above, while the valley falls away behind.

This design reimagines the towering slate workings through the lens of a Japanese woodblock print. Across a room, the pass is reduced to overlapping blocks of slate-grey, muted greens and earthen reds, bound by a quiet key line. The jagged rock is softened by a gradient sky blending soft blue into pale pink, mimicking the layered colour techniques of traditional printing.

A striking focal point for a hallway or study, this print arrives framed and ready to hang. A black frame perfectly highlights the strong, dark outlines of the crags. Designed as part of a wider series, it sits beautifully alongside other Lakeland posters to form a bold, coordinated collection.
