The narrow road of Honister Pass climbs steeply through a dramatic rocky defile, flanked by towering crags and slate spoil. High above, old quarry workings scar the fellside, while the valley floor falls away behind those navigating this iconic route.

Drawn in the Japanese woodblock tradition, the harsh terrain is softened by a gradient sky shifting from warm pink to deep blue. Layered bands of colour and quiet key lines build the jagged crags, reducing the steep road to a bold, sweeping curve that commands the view from across a room.

Arriving framed and ready to hang, this piece makes a striking statement on a stairwell or study wall. A black frame sharply defines the dark shadows of the slate, anchoring the print perfectly. Designed as part of a wider collection, it is ideal for hanging individually or grouping as a set of three.

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural oak.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Framed pieces are made and dispatched within 5–10 working days. UK delivery normally takes up to five working days after dispatch; international orders can take up to 28 days.
