The view over Rydal Water from the terrace path is a Lakeland classic. Walkers pause to take in the shallow lake, framed by bare oak and birch, while the steep fellside drops sharply to the far shore.

This mid-century treatment reduces the landscape to flat, playful shapes in rich teal and ochre. Across a room, the eye catches the striking, minimalist trees and geometric fells. Up close, tiny repeated marks pick out the textures of the stone wall, bracken, and water.

Striking in a stairwell or above a desk, this framed poster arrives ready to hang. A natural wood frame perfectly suits its earthy palette, while black sharpens the strong graphic lines of the trees. Designed as part of a wider collection, it looks superb alone or hung as a bold set.

Sizes

30 × 40 cm — 12 × 16 in

45 × 60 cm — 18 × 24 in

50 × 70 cm — 20 × 28 in

Each size is the printed poster itself; the 20 mm moulding sits outside it. There is no mount — the print runs to the frame, so the whole design is on show.

Paper, frame and glazing

Printed on 200 gsm enhanced matte fine-art paper, chosen for flat colour: no gloss, no reflections, and ink that sits in the sheet rather than on it.

Framed in a 20 mm wide, 24 mm deep solid wood moulding — black, white or natural wood.

Glazed with shatterproof acrylic rather than glass, so a large poster arrives intact.

MDF backing board with hanging fixtures already fitted.

Every poster is printed and framed to order, at the production facility closest to your delivery address.

The Mid-Century Wildlife series

Charley Harper simplicity: flat shapes, playful stylisation, tiny repeated marks

In the manner of Charley Harper: extreme simplification into flat geometric shapes, texture suggested by tiny repeated marks, and a great deal of confident empty ground. Teal, mustard, brick and sage.
