Rydal Water is a shallow lake best seen from the terrace path above its shores. Here, bare oak and birch frame the view from the left, while Nab Scar rises steeply and Loughrigg Fell drops to the far water. It is a deeply familiar Lakeland viewpoint.

This Swiss Modernist design strips the landscape to its geometric essence. Across a room, the eye is drawn to stark black and bold red branches anchoring the composition. The water becomes intersecting planes of cool grey, contrasting sharply against the solid black mass of the fell.

Hang this in a hallway or above a desk to bring a sharp, graphic edge to the space. Arriving framed and ready to hang, it looks particularly strong in the black frame, which perfectly echoes the fell's dark silhouette. Part of a wider series, it works beautifully alone or collected as a set.
